CUSTOM RACE MEDALS
A center disc that rotates inside the medal — the most-requested specialty build.

A spinner medal has a second casting mounted on a pin inside the main ring, so the center spins freely — a mile marker, mascot, logo, or swim-bike-run icons rotating inside the frame. It is the specialty build finishers demo for everyone at brunch, and the single most-requested upgrade across every race type we serve.
Spinners price like a standard medal of the same size plus $0.50 per unit for the mechanism, and add about a week of production. The motion earns it: race directors tell us spinner years outperform static years in social posts of the medal alone.
VOLUME PRICING
Per-unit pricing for our standard spec. Proofs and two edit rounds are included at every tier.
| Quantity | Price per unit |
|---|---|
| 100–249 | $3.00 |
| 250–499 | $2.65 |
| 500–999 | $2.35 |
| 1,000+ | $2.05 |
Options beyond the standard spec are itemized in your quote — and we beat any written competitor quote by up to 10%. See the full race medal pricing guide.
Pricing is by size, not by sport: a 3-inch medal runs about $2.50 each at 100 units for any race — larger sizes slightly more, smaller sizes less, and same-size medals start at the same price. Design and proofs are quoted with your order. New designs carry a one-time mold fee (generally around $100, depending on size); reorders of the same design never pay it again. Specialty builds — spinners, moving parts, oversized cutouts — can add to the per-medal cost.
DESIGN IDEAS
The triathlon classic — three discipline icons cycling through the window as the center spins.
A needle that actually swings inside a compass-face medal — perfect for trail and adventure races.
Your race mascot running in place as the disc turns. Kids races cannot keep these on the table.
Series races swap only the spinning year plate each edition — one outer mold, fresh center annually.
$0.50 per medal over a same-size static design, plus the standard one-time mold fee ($100). At 100 units a 3-inch spinner lands at $3.00 each; at 1,000+ it drops to $2.05.
The disc rides a riveted pin, not a bearing, so there is nothing to seize. We spec the pin gauge to the disc weight, and our replacement rate on spinners is under half a percent.
Both faces of the disc cast and fill like a normal medal, so you get two extra art surfaces. Bold shapes read best in motion — we advise at the free proof stage.
